Coaching Staff
The
Cincinnati Futbol Academy is pleased to announce that all teams will be trained
by the Coerver Coaching staff. Each Academy team will receive between 1-2
sessions of professional training each week. For more information on

What is Coerver Coaching?
A soccer coaching method for improving individual skills by emphasizing
small group play especially suited to youth players (ages 8-16).
Philosophy
Coerver Coaching focuses on improving individual and small group play
especially in the formative years. It is based on the premise that the game
consists of sequences of play between 2, 3, and sometimes 4 players, in various
parts of the field, and that Team Success is determined by player performances
in these sequences.
Team Systems and tactics are important but they cannot fully compensate
for poor control, inaccurate passing or other technical weaknesses and
ultimately are only as effective as the individual players in it.
Goals
1) Develop skilled, confident and creative players.
2) Make the practices and games Challenging and Fun.
3) Teach to value competition and winning but not more than character and
performance.
4) Educate good sportsmanship and respect for all.
